CHATTANOOGA, TN: September 3, 2019 – NAI Charter is pleased to announce that its President, David F. DeVaney, SIOR, CCIM has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the University of Chattanooga Foundation, Inc.

Born in Chattanooga, David grew up on Lookout Mountain and in 1988 joined NAI Charter, the real estate company his father, Chet DeVaney, founded in 1972.  David has been involved with major projects and premier companies such as The Honors Golf Course, Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, McKee, and Erlanger Medical Center.  David’s knowledge of commercial real estate and involvement in the business community has put NAI Charter on the map as the “go-to” real estate firm which offers commercial sale, investments and property management services.

The University of Chattanooga Foundation, Inc. was formed in 1969 with a $3 million endowment that has, through conscientious stewardship, grown to represent assets in excess of $200 million.

From the beginning, the foundation has supported academic initiatives and educational excellence at the University. The variety of support is exceptional, ranging from the Guerry Professorships for top faculty to funding the finest in arts and entertainment through the Patten Fine Arts Series.  The foundation has supported equipment grants and loans for academic departments and provided matching funds for chairs of excellence. It has also worked to secure the best students through scholarships and honors programs.
