Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR)
The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors was founded in 1941 and today is recognized as the leader in the industrial and office real estate industry. It's mission is to be an international society of the most capable and ethical individual brokers serving the real estate needs of modern business. To become an active member of the Society, an individual must demonstrate and document a minimum of seven years experience as an industrial and/or office real estate broker, subscribe to the highest ethical standards and pass rigorous written examinations. To maintain the certification, the individual must undertake required continuing education classes and activities. Each member is fully capable and qualified to assist clients in the intricate steps involved in site selection and acquisition. By selecting a member of SIOR to assist with industrial and office real estate needs, the client automatically plugs into a worldwide network of more than 1,700 business property specialists. Chattanooga has 5 SIOR members and 3 of them work at NAI Charter.
Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
The Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is recognized for an expertise in the disciplines of commercial-investment real estate. The CCIM is among an elite corps of 4,000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation. It is one of the most coveted and respected designations in the industry, and one often referred to as the Ph.D. of commercial real estate. Having completed a demanding curriculum of study and fulfilled professional experience requirements, CCIM Members are an invaluable resource to the real estate investor and to the commercial user. For the real estate investor, the CCIM will increase the probability of a profitable investment portfolio by evaluating investments against risk and objectives to ensure proper performance and maximum net worth. They provide BBB Business Reviews for businesses and charities, giving them a letter grade to help you make informed decisions while doing business. They alert the public when they hear about scam's.
